Usain Bolt explains 'being written off' from Prince Harry's life since being in a relationship with Meghan Markle

Usain Bolt has admitted that he hasn't spoken to Prince Harry since the latter got together with Meghan Markle. The Duke of Sussex, 37, and the Olympic champion, 35, became friends in 2012 when Harry visited Jamaica on an official visit. The two celebrities had become quite close, with Usain Bolt even saying that he hoped to host the prince's bachelor party in 2017, after his engagement was announced.

The sprinter revealed to The Sun that without understanding why, he was simply written out of the Prince's life shortly after meeting actress Meghan Markle: I think their relationship quickly became very serious. He embraced this new married life and left behind his life before.

I haven't talked to him in a while, but I wish I had kept in touch.

The two celebrities exchanged friendly messages on Twitter in 2016, with Harry challenging Usain to another race.

In 2017, a few days after the announcement of his engagement to Meghan, Harry received the proposal of Usain to organize his bachelor party before his nuptials. The prince did not respond to him and did not give him any more signs of life.

It has already been reported that the Duke's friendships with several members of his former inner circle of friends cooled or ended completely after his meeting with Meghan.

According to indiscretions from her former clan of friends, Meghan Markle didn't want any temptations to get in the way of their plans to start a family.
