Documentary on sexual predator Jimmy Savile could embarrass Prince Charles

If you didn't know him, you soon will. Jimmy Salvile was a well-known media man in the United Kingdom for the last fifty years. He was a presenter for the BBC, host of the famous show Top of the pops, and a man with a strong charisma who was recognizable among 1,000 others by his original look and speech.

A year after his death, in 2012, incredible revelations were made to the general public: Jimmy Salvile had allegedly sexually assaulted hundreds of (very) young girls, most of whom were volunteers in the same hospital as him. Strange twists and turns followed, including the sudden death of Jimmy Salvile's former driver the day before he was to testify in court about these cases…

This story is retraced in the documentary Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story, available from this Wednesday, April 6 on the Netflix platform. A gritty program... And not only for the right reasons.

In this documentary, correspondence between the sexual predator and Prince Charles are revealed. Prince Charles would have been close and even admired Jimmy Salvile, going so far as to ask him for advice on how to seduce the public, to restore the image of the royal family in the 1980s, 1990s: You are so good at understanding what works with people, had written the Prince of Wales. He was also knighted by Queen Elizabeth.

In the course of this documentary Jimmy Salvile: A British Horror Story, a question: was Prince Charles aware of the antics of his friend?
